The Port Residence is part of the exciting Ship to Shore Tour - 3rd Saturday of each month.

The Custom House Residence was built in 1900 and opened as The Port Residence Licensed Food and Beverage Establishment in July, 2005. Restaurant owner/operator, Gail Endres had a passion and vision to put life and laughter back into the rooms of this 'grand old lady of architecture' located in historic Wharf Street and overlooking the Mary River Parklands and Portside.

Gail chose the name for the restaurant as a tribute to Maryborough and the role the city played as a very busy and important river port for Queensland from the 1840's. The description, 'licensed food and beverage establishment', was in keeping with the age of the building and surrounding area.

The ground floor restaurant with both inside and verandah dining, and the conference room with sunroom on the first floor, offers choices that are different to other venues.
The bride's retreat, with ensuite is also available for hire on your wedding day.

The breakfast and lunch menus feature old Australian favourites, that are offered as part of the unique experience that Gail has developed throughout The Port. The retail and gift outlet for local and regional products and crafts was another different concept that Gail introduced into her business.

The Port Residence is open 6 days a week, Wednesday to Sunday, and offers warm, friendly service in an elegant atmosphere.

RESTAURANT HOURS: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9:30am to 3:30pm Saturday, Sunday 8:00am to 3:30pm Dinner - Friday and Saturday 6:00pm (After Work and Pre Dinner drinks at 5:30pm) Morning and Afternoon Tea - Wednesday to Sunday Lunch - Wednesday to Sunday Breakfast - Saturday and Sunday Functions - Group bookings of 25 or more available Wednesday to Sunday. Reservations are required. Contact Gail for details. Tour groups catered for and made welcome by Gail and staff. Business lunch packages/pre ordering can be arranged by telephoning the restaurant.
