Our CuisineThe Port Residence Restaurant is inspired by a fusion of traditional French and European to modern Australian and Asian flavours, varying between all nationalities. Flavours are intense with some meals, such as Wok Tossed Chilli Sand Crab, while others are gentle and smooth to the palate like the Confit De Canard with Garden Salad. He has returned to his old hometown to fulfill the dream of owning his own restaurant.He developed his passion for cooking at home while helping in the kitchen and began studying cookery at Hervey Bay TAFE at the age of 15. He left Hervey Bay at 17 and completed his apprenticeship in Brisbane. Zane was lucky enough to learn in a company that relocated employees twice a year to give them a complete learning experience over a variety of areas. His last year of apprentiship was completed at Sheraton Noosa where he remained employed for an additional four years. A working holiday at The Movenpick Dream Castle at Euro Disney in Paris gave Zane an even broader education in International cuisine. He is sure that you will find the many delicacies at The Port Residence Restaurant and Function Centre will tempt your taste buds and satisfy your hunger at any time of the day. |
